There were numerous “big guns” on the Western Front. An article here describes one that is not as well known as it should be, the site of which can still be visited. “Le Canon de Coucy-le-Chateau” by a French historian is included here. Two other articles should be mentioned. “The Forgotten Winter 1914-1915” is by the Curator of the Zonnebeke WWI Museum and “A Pioneer in Picardy” by Pioneer J Greenwood is the reminisences of a member of the Special Brigade. Mr Greenwood was a Bradford Solicitor and his story appears in two issues of Gun Fire.
