No. 27

The cover of this issue is a drawing of Harry Farr who is, perhaps, the most famous of the soldiers executed in 1914-18. “Pardon Ruled Out. The Case of Harry Farr” contains the documents used in Farr’s trial – and they make sad reading. It is by Julian Putkowski, the co-author of Shot at Dawn. There is also a review article on a (failed) attempt to “reappraise” the accepted history of the Somme Battles.
